This journey takes the reader on an unforeseen and unplanned direction to face and to expose the perpetrators of the crimes committed against her. Here, her thought processes, fears, obstacles and the criminal investigation are laid bare, with a lot of honesty and bravery, not knowing what the final outcome would be or even what she wanted or needed it to be.
The long arduous three-year journey, started with an investigation by the police and the Crime Prosecution Service. The end was in sight, but the process to get there, and land at the verdict, took gritted teeth and lots of tears. Would the perpetrators acknowledge their crimes, and would justice really be served?
