The devotionals are based around the Bible verse from 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 where we are encouraged to see our trials as light and momentary in the light of eternity.
Written over several years and in journal form, the book highlights times when the author was spoken to by God, many of which are accompanied by photographs taken to help capture the moment. The book can be read as a forty-day devotional, or dipped into, as and when the need to seek encouragement arises, especially through difficult times.
Through reading the book, Mary Thomas hopes that readers hear the voice of God for themselves, and find strengthened faith from the insights she has received by simply listening to the whispers of God.
About the Author
Mary Thomas is a wife, mum and nanna to two beautiful grandchildren. In younger years, Mary trained as a teacher and, after becoming a Christian later in life, spent twenty years working for a Christian Trust, during which she visited schools, taught, and pastored young people. In more recent times, Mary has moved down to the south coast of England, where she is actively involved in a vibrant local church, and can often be found at the beach hut, enjoying the views, and watching the world go by.
